West Downtown Reconstruction Project

Project Overview

The West Downtown Reconstruction Project is focused on the reconstruction of Brundage Street from Thurmond Avenue, east to the alley that is west of Brooks Street. This project has been a priority in the Capital Improvement Plan since the 2014 CIP update, and will include replacement of the aged and corroded water and sewer mains, improvements to the existing storm drain, installation of new curb and gutter as well as sidewalk and concrete roadway surfacing. Enhancements will be similar to those found on Brooks St. including the addition of trees, continuation of the decorative lighting theme, placement of diagonal parking in the area along the north side of W. Brundage, and keeping parallel parking along the south side of Brundage St.

The public involvement plan involved going door to door with each property owner and business to gather their feedback and input, and to address any concerns with the design. Construction is will begin in early June 2018, with a 90 day calendar time frame for full completion.

The Design Engineer for this project is Trihydro Corporation of Sheridan, and the contractor is LJS Concrete and Excavation of Big Horn. This Project is fully funded with allocations from the Water & Sewer Funds and Capital Facilities Tax.
