Kendrick Pool Renovation NEWS

Kendrick Pool Renovation Project is beginning soon.
The City of Sheridan's Kendrick Pool Renovation Project is beginning soon. Construction of the  pickup/drop off loop will endanger the root system of several trees in the vicinity of the existing bathhouse. Tree removal has begun and will continue through August 23rd. A local contractor, SavATree / Tree Mechanics, will use a crane to safely remove the trees. Although it is always a difficult decision to remove trees, public safety remains our number one priority. The legacy of the two large cottonwood trees will live on through scions cultivated by our Parks department. The scions will be planted in areas that will not present any immediate dangers to the public. With this project, hardwood trees will be planted to replace the shade canopy and greenery. Our City Arborist will work closely with the contractor to select species that promote our strategic goals of the  "Right Tree in the Right Location". We appreciate your patience and support through this project and we look forward to seeing you at the grand opening of the newly renovated Kenrick Pool in the spring of 2026.
